Letter to Chancellor of the Exchequer

On 14 Oct 2020, a letter was sent directly to Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer, on behalf of the Venue Committee of the Association of British Wedding Businesses (ABWB), with two (2) attachments.

1. Letter to the Chancellor

In this letter, we highlight the wedding sector's closure and lack of parity with the rest of the hospitality industry, and we outline a 3-tiered plan for weddings that would allow our sector to move forward. Please download and read:

We look forward to a considered response from the Chancellor of the Exchequer that appreciates the £10bn wedding sector's unique features and capabilities during this extraordinarily difficult time.

We will keep the ABWB membership updated on progress.
